Strength for Today is devoted to the facilitation of the devotional life of the young and old, men and women, students and workers from all walks of life.
We live in a world where everyone seems to be in haste, busy and torn apart by so many distractions and necessities. However, we need to consciously and regularly set time apart to seek the face of God. Seek the Lord while He may be found… (Is. 55:6) It is to a man’s advantage to set the course of his life on the right footing by committing each day into the hands of his Maker and Father. Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass (Ps. 37:5).
Enjoy the reading of your Bible with the daily Bible Plan; you can now read your Bible in one year. You can do it! Take advantage of the Great Confession page; your life will be transformed as you proclaim it daily.
Plan your day and work your plan. Make the most of every opportunity you have to build yourself up spiritually. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly … (Col. 3:16)
HOW TO USE THIS BOOK
Get a quiet place where you can be alone with God. You can also get your family or friends together for a time of devotion.
* Ask the Lord to open your eyes to see the wonderful truths in His Word. (Ps. 119:18; Eph. 1:17)
* Open your Bible and read the text for the day.
* Read the message and all the scriptural references.
* The prayer points relevant to the day’s reading are stated. Every prayer is to be said adding ‘in the name of Jesus’.
* Read out the confession over and over again. (Jos. 1:8)
* Think about the scriptural meditation. Roll it over and over in your mind.
* Read the scripture in the Bible Plan at any time of the day that best suits you – morning, lunch time, evening etc.
Renew your strength as you wait on God daily. Be transformed by the renewing of your mind that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. (Rom. 12:2)
